It was amazing to find that the human genetic code spells out the word Yahweh! I learned this in a YouTube video. What do you think?
To be honest, the claim of the video—that DNA contains God’s name and somehow spells out the gospel—seems like a tremendous stretch. Maybe watch the video again with the following points in mind.
Firstly, sulfur bonds in DNA? Human DNA is constructed from hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and phosphorous. Sulfur is not one of the principal elements.
Second, when they examined the chromosomes, how did they determine the order 10-5-6-5? It's true that the tenth, fifth, sixth, and fifth letters of the Hebrew syllabary are yodh (y), heth (h), waw (w), and heth (h)—and that these are the consonants in the divine name (YHWH)—but why begin with the y? Why not with one of the heths? In that case, h-w-h-y could mean “Who is she?” Should we base our faith on the arbitrary?
Third, the video reminds me of the “Bible code” books and videos. Tweak the search parameters just right, and you can find nearly anything “hidden” in Scripture. One gets the feeling that the “discoveries” are forced, just as Nostradamus’s “prophecies” are read into the text after the event.
Fourth, the letter waw may be in the shape of a hook, peg, tent pole—or even a nail. Yet this points to the crucifixion of Christ? I’d say this is over-reaching. Claims like those found in the YouTube video may seem convincing—even thrilling—but they probably cause more harm than good.
