As I prepare to teach a class in our study group on Daniel 7, I feel unprepared to explain all the symbolism and prophecy. I didn’t find much at your website on Daniel. Are there any resources that could assist me with the history behind the symbols and prophecies found in Chapter 7?
One book on Daniel that I highly recommend is McGuiggan’s work – if you can get hold of a copy. His book on Revelation will also shed light on Daniel. You may also benefit from John Oakes’s book on Daniel.
I realize there isn’t much on Daniel at my website – only a few Q&As, random issues, and some of the material on the Apocalypse. My book A Quick Overview of the Bible could give you some of tools you need to probe the Bible—general principles—and perhaps this would be of benefit. But do check out Jim McGuiggan—his work may really help.
